Romanian Historian Dr. Cristina A. Bejan Brings Acclaimed Work to Paris

Mark your calendars!

Romanian-American historian Dr. Cristina A. Bejan is hosting the official Paris launch of her bestselling 2nd edition of "Intellectuals and Fascism in Interwar Romania" - now a true collector's item.

When: Thursday, March 26th at 7 PM

Where: The Dissident Club, Paris

This isn't just any book event. Dr. Bejan has assembled an incredible panel of Romanian intellectual heavyweights:

- Matei Visniec (renowned playwright & journalist)

- Cristina Hermeziu (expert panelist)

- Professor Bruce Lincoln from University of Chicago (joining by Zoom)

The evening features expert panel discussions followed by book signing, with copies available for purchase.

Why this matters: Dr. Bejan's work examines one of Romania's most challenging historical periods - how intellectuals navigated the rise of fascism between the wars. It's essential reading for understanding Romanian identity and the moral choices we face during dark times.

The event embodies the powerful words of Mihail Sebastian: "I am not a partisan, I am always a dissident. I can trust only the individual man. But my trust in him is complete."

For Romanians in Paris or anyone passionate about our intellectual history, this is a must-attend event. Dr. Bejan's scholarship helps us learn from the past to build a better future.
